Assam down town university was born on the auspicious moment of 29th april 2010, This is the Second Private university in the north-east. The necessity of a private university has been felt since long time, as students from our region have to go to Bangalore, pune, New Delhi and even to UK and USA for studies with high aspirations, to have state, of the art education in different subjects which are not available in the existing universities of the
region. It is with this view, to start newer job oriented courses and modern methodologies of teaching, the assam down town university was born. We have started our first stride in the journey of building up new generations of Engineers, Managers, nurses, Paramedic and even scholars who will drive this country further into development. We hope that this university will be a boon to the aspiring students of the north-east in particular, as they can avail studies in their desired discipline near their home in the comfort anmd warmth of the university. In 2011, we are going to continue with following disciplines, namely Engineering with Five Branches, Pharmacy, Nursing, Allied Health, Hotel Management and many more courses.
