IGNOU: OPENMAT XXXIV for Management Programmes 2014
The Open Management Test (OPENMAT) is conducted twice a year by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) for admission to Master of Business Administration (MBA), postgraduate diploma and diploma programs in management.
IGNOU will conduct OPENMAT XXXIV on 8 September, 2013. Based on this OPENMAT score, candidates may be eligible to seek admission in different management courses that begin by January 2014 as well as July 2014.

IGNOU has declared the OPENMAT XXXIV examination schedule for admission to its various management courses.
Entrance test date: 8 Sept., 2013 (OPENMAT XXXIV)
Last date to submit OPENMAT exam application form (FORM 1) at IGNOU headquarters-

OPENMAT score is valid for admission to

Eligibility criteria
The eligibility criteria for applying to IGNOU's management programmes are given below.
1. Graduation in any discipline with 50 percent marks (general category) and 45 percent (reserved category.) After graduation, the candidates must also have at least 3 years of managerial/ supervisory/ professional work experience.
OR
Professional degree with 50 percent marks in either engineering, medicine, chartered accountancy (ICAI), cost and works accountancy (ICWAI), company secretaryship (ICSI) or law.
2. Qualify in the OPENMAT conducted by IGNOU.
3. Candidates of any age can apply.

Application process
The student handbook and prospectus for IGNOU OPENMAT 2013 can be obtained from the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110 068 and from the regional centres of IGNOU (whose addresses are available on www.ignou.ac) by sending a sum of Rs. 1,050 through a demand draft in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi/city of concerned Regional Centre. Please write your name and address on the back of the demand draft. The fee may also be paid through bank challan.
The application form and prospectus can also be downloaded from the website: www.ignou.ac.in and sent along with a demand draft for Rs. 1,050 in favour of IGNOU payable at New Delhi by registered/speed post to Registrar, SED, Block 12, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068.
The prospectus will be sent to applicants after receipt of Rs. 1,050 as explained above. The completed form for the test must reach the Registrar (SED), IGNOU, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi - 110068, by registered post/speed post on or before the last date on the application. Only send the fee with the OPENMAT form if the form was downloaded from the website.
OPENMAT results
The result cards will be sent to all candidates who appear for IGNOU OPENMAT within six to seven weeks from the date of the exam. The result card would indicate the qualifying status of the candidate. The OPENMAT result cards can also be downloaded from the IGNOU website.
Admission to management programmes
If the OPENMAT result card indicates that a candidate has qualified for admission to the management programmes, then he/she should apply for admission using the "application form (form 2)."
